Same girl, seven different outfits, and yet somehow they all feel like me.

That’s style personality at work: one of the three building blocks (alongside colour and body shape) that make up your personal style framework. It isn’t about picking a label and sticking to it forever. It’s about knowing which styles genuinely feel like you, whether that’s a tailored trouser and stripe combo one day or a floaty floral the next.

Once you’re clear on your style personality, getting dressed stops being a guessing game. You stop buying pieces that don’t quite fit who you are, and your wardrobe starts working with you instead of against you.

I was at London Fashion Week yesterday, watching @pierre.garroudi ‘s show with my lovely friend @tracey_salmon_makeup_artist , who was doing makeup backstage.

The clothes were everything you want from a runway: bold, sculptural, colour turned all the way up. Not something I’d reach for on a Tuesday morning school run, and that’s rather the point!

Fashion week is where designers push colour and shape to their absolute limits, so the rest of us can borrow a fraction of that confidence. That acid green on the runway might translate, in real life, to one statement scarf that is more than you might normally choose. 💚
